This week at Microsoft’s //build/ 2016 conference in San Francisco, Scott Guthrie shared more details about the Xamarin acquisition and what this means for developers on the Microsoft stack. In short, Microsoft has made the Xamarin tools available to everyone. If you have a Visual Studio Professional or Enterprise edition, Xamarin is included at no extra cost. Moreover, it’s also available as a completely free Community Edition, under the same Microsoft license terms (small teams, OSS developers and students). Wow!
