Long time no post, but I have been really busy with travelling and moving to a new house. My travels were first to the MVP Summit in Seattle where I looked into the future of Visual Studio ALM, Team Foundation Server and VSO. Then to the ALM Summit in Barcelona and then to Stockholm to speak on TechDays Sweden
I presented two sessions. Visual Studio Online as Perfect tool for Scrum and Scaling Up Scrum with SAFe and TFS 2013

Scrum is really popular and the magic Quadrant of Garnter points to TFS as really good tool.
To work with Scrum you actually do not need any tools. But, it makes life a lot easier if you do. Visual Studio Online offers a lot of possibilities for agile teams to support their Scrum process.
In this session I exlplained the different stages of Scrum (Refinement, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective) supported by several demonstrations.

All research and statistics prove it. Scrum is popular. But unfortunately Scrum does not scale up to organization level. It stays in Development teams. Enterprises struggle how to deal with Scrum and Agile methodologies on higher level. A frameworks like Scaled Agile Framework(SAFE) offers guidance for the companies. Also Team Foundation Server 2013 offers some nice possibilities to deal with these challenges. This session covers a lot of theory about the Scaled Agile Framework and shows how to deal with this in Team Foundation Server.
